The Bible is God’s Word to all people and describes God in all of His fullness. It was written by human authors under the supernatural guidance of the Holy Spirit. Because God inspired it, the Bible is absolutely true, without any mixture of error, and is completely relevant to our daily lives.

There is one eternal God who is the Creator of all things. He exists in three Persons: God the Father, God the Son and God the Holy Spirit. He is totally loving and completely holy. Although each member of the Trinity serves different functions, they each possess equal power and authority.

God is great: He is all powerful, all knowing, ever present, unchanging, completely worthy of our trust, and above all, holy. It is in Him that we live, move and exist. God is good: He is our Father. He is loving, compassionate, and faithful to His people and His promises.

Jesus Christ is both completely God and completely man. He is the ONLY plan for bringing people who are enemies of God back into a right relationship with God. He lived a perfect life so that He could be a substitution for us in satisfying God’s demands for perfection. He defeated death in His resurrection so that we could have life. Through Jesus’ finished work at the Cross, our spirits are restored to perfection and unity with God.

The Holy Spirit’s presence assures us of our relationship with Christ. He guides believers into all truth and exalts Christ. He convicts the world of its sin, the believers of their righteousness through Christ, and the coming judgment. He comforts us, enables us to use spiritual gifts, including speaking in tongues, and makes us more like Christ as we allow Him to work.

Man is an eternal spirit, created to exist forever. He will either exist eternally separated from God by sin or in union with God through forgiveness and salvation. To be eternally separated from God is Hell. To be eternally in union with Him is Heaven. Both Heaven and Hell are real places of eternal existence.

Man is made in the image of God and is the supreme object of His creation. Although God designed man to have fellowship with him, man became alienated from God through disobedience. As a result, all human beings are born with a sinful nature and choose to sin against God. Every human personality is uniquely created, possesses dignity, and is worthy of respect and Christian love.

The blood of Jesus Christ, shed on the cross, provides the only way of salvation, through the forgiveness of sin. Salvation occurs when people place their faith in the death and resurrection of Christ as sufficient payment for their sin. Salvation is a gift from God and it cannot be earned through our own efforts.

As a public sign of our commitment and an early step in discipleship, we should be baptized in water as Jesus was at the beginning of His ministry.

The church is a local community of believers unified through faith in Christ. It is committed to the teachings of Christ, to obeying all of His commands, and to bringing the gospel to the world. The Church works together in love and unity of Sprit, intent on the ultimate purpose of glorifying Christ. At the local level, the Church gathers primarily to 1.) glorify God; 2.) to be trained in righteousness; and, 3.) to reach the lost with the Good News of Jesus Christ – in that order. We believe in the power and significance of the Church and the necessity of believers to meet regularly together for fellowship, prayer and the ‘breaking of bread’.

We believe in obediently bringing to the Church the Tithe (the first ten percent of our income) that belongs to the Lord, generously bringing our offerings that are given willingly, and alms that are given to the poor and needy outside of the walls of the Church.

As the Lead Pastor of Genesis Church, Pastor Josh provides teaching, direction and overall vision for the church. He and his wife Carly have been leading Genesis Church since 2010. They have a passion to see others live out the fullness of God’s call in their world and are dedicated to discipling and caring for people. They are parents of four; Solomon, Ruth, Ezra & Abigail. As a family, they enjoy reading together, adventuring outside, and going on weekly family dates to get donuts.

As a certified aircraft mechanic & flight instructor, Eric trains new missionary aviators. Eric & Katie have been serving with Proclaim Aviation Ministries since 2019 & are passionate about reaching the ends of the earth with the Gospel. Utilizing spiritual, relational & technical training, they aim to educate and send as many missionary pilots & mechanics as possible.
As a family, Eric & Katie (& their son J) enjoy camping, taking walks to the park & attending Genesis Church.

These are our neighborhood schools that serve the communities surrounding Genesis Church. We have been working with these schools & school administrations since 2016, helping provide take-home meals for underprivileged children on the weekends. We also meet practical needs with clothing & backpack drives throughout the school year, as well as a Giving Tree at Christmas.
At Theos Seminary, our goal is to equip individuals with a high standard of academic excellence so that they might engage contemporary culture as a Christian thinker. Using sound methodologies to approach the text & with a commitment to the historic church, orthodox doctrines & the ongoing work of the Holy Spirit, we are confident our education will prepare to serve the Kingdom of God in whatever capacity an individual is called.
Leading Second believes that healthy teams are essential to thriving churches & has begun to pioneer a new community of church leaders built around the heart of servant leadership. Through resources, coaching & events, Leading Second exists to equip local churches everywhere to raise up UNCOMMON leaders.
Lonny & Kim have devoted their lives to overseeing Destiny Vision International Ministries. DVIM is an international fellowship of churches & ministers. With a heart for Pastors & those in leadership positions, their ministry focuses & specializes in leadership training, financial seminars & missions.
OneChild has created a community of Child Champions who serve children in poverty, helping them to discover hope & reach their God-given potential. OneChild sponsors do more than encourage children in poverty — they provide education, healthcare, spiritual guidance & community, helping children have a big, bright, beautiful future.
